2017 Police Unity Tour

On May 9th, 2017 East Brunswick Police Officers Christian Longhitano and Brian Woodruff will be taking part in the 2017 Police Unity Tour. The Police Unity Tour is a four-day, 300+ mile bicycle ride starting in Mercer County Community College in West Windosor, NJ and culminating at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. The ride includes law enforcement officers from all over New Jersey as well as chapters from as far as California. With the help of the East Brunswick Police Department, local businesses, individual donations, and the support of The East Brunswick PBA Local #145. Officers Longhitano and Woodruff have raised over 3,600.00, which will support the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum. Both officers are taking part in the unity tour for the first time and are eager to join over 2,200 of their brother and sister officers from around the country in this ride to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty.

2013 Emergency Services Community Night Out

Earlier this month, East Brunswick’s Emergency Services personnel, consisting of the Police Department, all three volunteer Fire Departments and the volunteer Rescue Squad, celebrated Community Night Out at the Community Arts Center.

The event, held on Aug. 17, served to raise proceeds that benefit East Brunswick recreational programs for the youth and community of the township.

“This is a unique opportunity for members of the community we serve to come out and meet their emergency responders in an informal environment and learn more about what we do, while helping support a community project”, said Lieutenant Frank LoSacco, President of the East Brunswick Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 98, who represents the Superior Officers of the East Brunswick Police.

The East Brunswick Emergency Organizations that were represented are:

·   East Brunswick Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 98 (EB Police Superior Officers)

·   East Brunswick Policemen’s Benevolent Association (PBA) Local 145 (EB Police Officers)

·   East Brunswick Fire District #1 (Old Bridge Volunteer Fire Company)

·   East Brunswick Fire District #2 (Independent Fire Company)

·   East Brunswick Fire District #3 (Brookview Volunteer Fire Company)

·  East Brunswick Rescue Squad

2013 Emergency Services Annual Fishing Derby

On Saturday June 1, 2013 East Brunswick Emergency Services (Police, Fire & EMS) hosted a fishing derby for kids. The event was held at Dallenbach’s Lake, located on the Crystal Springs Aquatic Center. The free event was open to all children up to 16 years of age. Prizes were awarded for biggest fish in each age group. The event was held in memory of former East Brunswick Patrolman Kenny Wallace.
